Peter is a great example of how our plan sometimes will not be God’s plan for our lives. He was doing very well for himself in the area of wealth by owning a fishing business and had people working for him. God gave him an invitation to follow Him and Peter freely chose to leave his profession behind to follow Jesus. There were times where Peter wondered about this decision. He wondered, “What’s in this for me?” It seemed to him that he was giving up a great business with a great income for this faith walk, which began with “I will follow God.” Watch out, because when you take that faith step, the enemy will try to discourage you. When Peter asked the question, “What’s in this for me?” Jesus responded, “No man ever left mother and father and earthly possessions and followed me and not received a hundredfold, not one.” Yes that includes you and me! If you are working for God, you are certainly on the right path; you don’t need to change a thing. Just keep on pleasing God.
God is cheering you on! If He takes care of the fish in the sea, surely He can take care of you and I. God desires that we believe His Word and not worry or fear. He wants you to have a worry free life. That’s why He said, “Fret not thyself.” I hope this gives you a confidence boost today knowing that your part is simple; the hard work is God’s. If you are challenged by your circumstances of life and wondering where your faith level should be, know that where you are right now is exactly where you are supposed to be! What you want in life shall come to pass when you put God first. Remember, we walk by faith and not by sight. Faith is the window that activates the will and plan of God for your life. Keep believing God; the best part of your life is yet to come. By faith, your future is bright, and abundant life is yours. Remember that you are a phenomenal woman and should expect complete fulfillment in your life. It doesn’t matter where you are; just focus on what God said in his Word and follow God’s plan by faith
